W
hat is a Gift Gathering Party? It’s an opportunity for people to get together, have fun, and bring a donation for the auction. The parties, which can be simple or elaborate, theme-based or a friendly gathering, play an important role in the gathering of donations for the auction.
W ho Hosts the Parties? Any family or families may host the party. They will decide on the type of party, location, invitees and will make all the necessary arrangements. The type of party can range from Monday night football, bowling, get together out or at home or a more formal cocktail, house party or even a holiday party.
W hat Do I Bring to the Party? Attendees are asked to bring a gift to use in a theme basket, silent or live auction. The host(s) may choose to have a theme for the items they would like guests to bring or they may not specify and the choice is yours. Donated items are any item you feel someone would like to bid on or cash which will then be combined with other cash contributions to make a raffle basket or purchase an auction item.
No gift is too small and if you decide to go to a party just for fun and fellowship that is fine too. Don’t forget to bring your completed Donation Form if you choose to bring an auction item or make a monetary donation. Donation forms are available at the school office or may be printed directly from our Donation page on this website.
Gift Ideas: Artwork, use of a vacation home or timeshare, golf at local club, sporting goods or memorabilia, tickets to sporting events, concerts or other performances, jewelry, credit card or air miles for hotel stay or air fare, catering services or theme parties, restaurants, spas or stores, wine, electronics.
