About PACE

The mission of PACE is dedicated to providing counsel and long-term sustainability to educate students with an affordable, faith-based curriculum that instills the ideals of service and citizenship.
  • PACE stands for Parents for the Advancement of Catholic Education.
  • PACE is a fully approved and independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation.
  • PACE was formed by dedicated parents of St. Joseph School who are committed to catholic education.
In 2005, the U.S. Catholic Bishops held a conference and issued the Renewing Our Commitment to Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools in the Third Millennium statement which included some of the following positions. The entire Catholic community must now focus on the future and the many challenges we face
  • We must pursue effective responses to the challenges we face
  • We must move forward with faith, courage and enthusiasm
  • Catholic schools are a major resource for nurturing faith and fostering values
  • Catholic schools are a vital ministry of our parishes and so important to our future

In response to the challenges and with a strong commitment to Catholic education, a number of St. Joseph families actively began developing ways to help promote and advocate for Catholic education.   Early in the process, the parents received guidance and lessons learned from Partners in Mission and other resources, which allowed them to develop an effective path forward and secure the necessary enlistment of volunteers.  It took almost one year but the fruit of their labor has been extraordinary and has resulted in a newly formed not-for-profit foundation.
